Let us pray.
O almighty, everlasting God! Thou dost approve of the sculptured or painted images (or likeness) of thy saint, in order that when we behold them, we may be led to contemplate and imitate their lives and holiness. Wherefore, we beseech Thee to bless X and sanctify X this statue wrought to the memory and honor of thy Sole-Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ (or the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, or of St. N.). And grant that whosoever through the inspiration of this image earnestly strives to honor and worship Him (or honor the Blessed Virgin, or St. N.), may by His (his or her) merits obtain grace in this life and eternal glory in the next. Through (the same) Christ our Lord.
